Wattpai is a writing and AI video creation platform. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about your data.
Information We Collect
We collect account information such as your name, email address, Google profile identifier, and profile image when you sign in. We also store the stories, chapters, characters, scenes, prompts, comments, generated media, token balance, and usage records you create in the product.
When you purchase tokens or paid products, our payment provider processes billing details. Wattpai stores payment identifiers, product metadata, and transaction status, but does not store raw card numbers.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate your account and keep your workspace available.
- To save and publish stories, chapters, comments, characters, and scenes.
- To generate AI media using selected providers when you request it.
- To manage token balances, purchases, abuse prevention, and support.
- To improve product quality, reliability, and safety.
AI Providers
If you request AI generation, Wattpai may send the relevant prompt, story context, selected character details, uploaded references, and scene settings to generation providers such as fal.ai, ElevenLabs, Groq, OpenRouter, and Remotion-related infrastructure. Only the information needed for the requested generation is sent.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data with service providers that help us operate Wattpai, including hosting, authentication, database, payment, email, analytics, and AI generation providers. Published stories, public videos, and comments are visible to anyone with access to their public pages.
Retention
We keep account and workspace data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain financial records.
Your Choices
You can update or remove content in the app where controls are available. You can request account or data deletion by emailing hello@wattpai.com.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including managed authentication and encrypted secrets. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect author and reader data.
Children
Wattpai is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
